By Kent Skewes Hundreds of children and their parents express their
artistry and help feed the community Saturday during a visit
to Creative Children's Center in Aloha. About 400pounds of
food was collected for the Oregon Food Bank during the fifth
annual event. Above, Casey Betcher, 17 a Century High
School senior, helps Alex Hunker, 9, create a clay pot.
Brown Middle School students painted faces including that of
(left) Taylor Pimster, 6. Budding artists created wands
with bright ribbon streamers, headbands, flour, water, bead
and wire "critters" and other crafts. The center, a parent
cooperative preschool and kindergarten for ages two to six
years, celebrated its tenth anniversary last year. Summer
camp for ages three to 12 is offered. Call Creative
Children's Center at 503-590-0604 for information. ©2003 Creative Children's Center.
