Welcome to Summer!
Summertime is a great time to be at CCC! Our creativity camps provide enriching educational experiences while providing fun in the sun! Parents get a break, while the children play and learn with friends! This year’s lineup includes garden, art, science, and splash camps. Each week is designed to go in depth into a subject examining the “what and whys of our world.”
Our Reggio inspired “Creativity Camps” support learning in fun and innovative ways. By interconnecting the arts and sciences, students develop a thirst for knowledge while having a wonderful time. Students may attend the entire summer school series, or select their favorite weeks. No matter how you cut it, CCC is the perfect slice of summer fun!
Each week our master teachers introduce BIG IDEAS as topics of investigation. Our years of experience implementing the Reggio Approach has taught us that inquiry supports knowledge, and that knowledge is built upon questions and re-search. By balancing academics and open choice activities, students are self-motivated and inspired by their love to learn. Our studios spaces support work and play using a variety of mediums and materials. We offer a “100 languages” with which to discover and learn. Each child gains confidence through individual and group work. Students find their own special voice and identity while learning to work with their peers.
CCC’s facility is unique and very special. Once a little farm, the grounds and buildings retain the open feeling of country living. Our 200 x 200 foot play-ground supports outdoor play as students explore the gardens, dig in the sandbox, kick balls across the grass, and play hide and seek in the forest. From scooters to water play, summer days are super fun!
Our summer indoor & outdoor classrooms are organized with gathering areas, open play spaces and studios centers. Students may attend from 9-3:00 or select a half day option with a pick up at 12:00. Extended care is available in the morning and afternoons.
Students begin their day by checking in with teacher for morning meeting and group time. We start with music, movement and stories. Big Ideas are launched and the fun begins! Throughout the campus are special summer studio areas that support the children’s investigations and creativity! Teachers and students use the studios areas to bring their ideas to life! After lunch the studios reopened for free exploration. Students can continue their morning ideas or do something new! Below is a list of our studios followed by our Creativity camp line up.

The Great Garden Adventure (June 24-28)
Things that fly, grow, creep, and crawl; what can we find in CCC’s nature playground? A puzzle of plants and creatures create a world of super science and art inspiration that intrigues and inspires all. Gardening, worm bins, seeds, flowers, bugs, bats, birds, and butterflies will all be invited to join the fun! Plant in the garden, work on bird houses, press flowers, make a nature journal and more!
Art By Heart (July 8-12)
Given the tools, the time and inspiration, every child is an ARTIST! Join us for this amazing week of art camp… CCC’s most popular! Children will explore two and three dimensional design through an exposure to a wide variety of materials. Multiple studio opportunities are available every day, ranging from painting to 3-D kinetic sculpture. From color mixing, tinting and hoeing to clay sculptures and print making, masterpieces will appear!
Dino Days (July 15-19)

Super Science (July 22-26)
Put on your lab coat and become a super scientist! The three sciences—chemistry, physics, and biology—will be explored in creative and innovative ways. The scientific process will be introduced as we propose questions, build and test hypotheses, and develop theories. Make magic goop, build giant marble runs and pendulums, and create an egg drop along with other hands-on projects this week! From balloon physics to foaming concoctions, we will be busy rocking our world with cool experiments and new discoveries!
Let’s Go to Mars! (July 29-August 1)
Hop in your spaceship and get ready for the journey of a lifetime! We are headed out to explore our solar system and beyond, to galaxies unknown! This week we will learn about the history and the future of space travel, explore the many types of stars and planets out there, and stretch beyond the known galaxy to imagine what else might lay light-years away. We will build a spaceship, model and map moons and planets both real and imagined, amaze ourselves with fantastic science, and much more. Grab your space suit and meet us on the launch pad!
